When Benjamin Orcajada is not philosophising he can be found painting at his easel. His long lasting dedication to this particular form of art has been seen over the years in many exhibitions in both art galleries and châteaux. His inspiration comes from many recurring sources but his art has drawn particularly deeply upon his travels across the Mediterranean landscape. From the peaks of the Cevenol to the salt marshes in the Camargue… the sun-drenched Greek isles to the brilliant landscape of Tuscany, the Venetian lagoons to the Florentine hills… always a celebration of the natural world. The quintessential expression of his art can be found in his «Telluriques» cycle where water and earth embrace each other, where the strength and the explosive energy of the elements are transformed and allowed to give birth to new structures and new landscapes. |
